Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This policy explains how e-Targeting ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit e-targeting.com, contact us or subscribe to our newsletter. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy rules on cookies as applied in EU member states.

Who We Are

e-Targeting is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Questions about this policy or your data: info@e-targeting.com.

Scope

This policy covers this website, our contact and free audit forms, and our newsletter. It does not cover other websites we link to. When we manage ad accounts for clients, we process the personal data in those accounts on the client's behalf under a separate agreement.

What We Collect

  • Contact and audit requests: name, email address, company, website, ad platforms you use and the message you write.
  • Newsletter: your email address.
  • Correspondence: emails and messages you send us, and our replies.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, and date and time of the visit. Our web server records this in logs.
  • Analytics data: pages you visit, how you reached the site, device and browser type, and approximate location. Google Analytics collects this only if you accept performance cookies.
  • Cookie and ad-tracking data: online identifiers and information about how you reached the site, such as an ad click. Meta Pixel and Google Ads tag collect this only if you accept marketing cookies.

We do not ask for sensitive data such as health information. Please do not include it in free-text fields.

Why We Use Your Data and on What Basis

  • Answering your enquiries, preparing audits and proposals, and starting a working relationship: steps at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Sending the newsletter: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Understanding how visitors use the website with Google Analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and, for storing or reading information on your device, Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
  • Measuring ad performance and building ad audiences with Meta Pixel and Google Ads tag: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and, for storing or reading information on your device, Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
  • Keeping the website secure, preventing abuse and fixing errors: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Keeping accounting and tax records: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your rights and interests. You can object at any time.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies on this website fall into four groups: Necessary, Functional, Performance and Marketing. A small preference cookie that remembers your choice is necessary and needs no consent. We do not currently use functional cookies. We ask for your consent before loading Google Analytics (performance) and Meta Pixel and Google Ads tag (marketing), and we do not load them until you agree. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.): helps us understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages they view and how they reached us. Typical cookies are _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID. See policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.): measures conversions from Facebook and Instagram ads and helps us build audiences. See facebook.com/privacy/policy.
  • Google Ads tag (Google Ireland Ltd.): measures conversions from Google Ads and supports remarketing. See policies.google.com/privacy.

Who We Share Data With

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that process it for us under our instructions and a data processing agreement, such as website hosting (Cloudflare), form handling (Web3Forms), and email and newsletter delivery.
  • Meta and Google, if you accept cookies.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, who are bound by confidentiality.
  • Authorities or courts, where the law requires it.

International Transfers

Some of these recipients, including Meta and Google, may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. We allow this only with a lawful safeguard: an EU adequacy decision (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified companies) or Standard Contractual Clauses. Contact us if you would like a copy of the safeguards.

How Long We Keep Data

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, then delete or anonymise it.

  • Enquiries and audit requests: while we handle your request and for a reasonable period after our last contact. If you become a client, for the length of our contract and any legal retention period.
  • Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
  • Server logs: a short period needed for security and troubleshooting.
  • Analytics, cookie and ad-tracking data: for the period set by each provider and in our settings.
  • Accounting and tax records: for the period required by law.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data and get a copy (Art. 15).
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16).
  • Have your data deleted (Art. 17).
  • Restrict how we use it (Art. 18).
  • Receive the data you gave us in a portable format (Art. 20).
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21).
  • Withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7(3)).

To use a right, email info@e-targeting.com. We reply within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live, work or believe a violation happened. We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects.

Security

We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and carefully chosen providers. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our website and services are aimed at businesses, not at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

Our pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our services, tools or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will point out significant changes on the website.
